F4i manual cct

 · Hi guys, I just bought my f4i last week. It has a CCT problem it just rattles like crazy 3k 5k you name it. It has 19k on the clock and i asked the previous owner he thought it was the exhaust so ignored it. The bike still runs fine just the rattling noise. I emailed him yesterday to ask.  · Hi F4i owners. Honda Blackbird, CBRRR, CBR F3/F4/F4i Manual Cam Chain Tensioner from APE helps to prevent excessive chain slap and engine rattle on start up. When compared to more common APE manual CCT's the knuckle on the end is a little smaller on these yana shiki's. The only major thing that could pop up in the future is the length of threading. Once the cam chain was properly tensioned there was barely any threading left for future tensions. Will a bad CCT only rattle and sound terrible at certain RPM ranges? I just picked up a F4i project bike for cheap and its runs perfect and sounds great at idle, but around to rpm is sounds like www.doorway.ru something is rattling very loudly in the right valve cover area of the engine.

to skip intro, to for the actual work on the bike. How to adjust and/or tighten the cam chain tensioner (CCT) on a Honda CBRF4i or CBRF4. T. the noise is not actually the CCT itself but the very end of the tensioner. it has (who knows why) a separat "head" piece held on by a "c" clip or roller clip, the clip gets loose after a while (on mine it was right around 5, miles) and is little "head" piece is what rattles so much, it's said by Honda that it's no big deal and will not hurt. the f4i's cct is a fun one to www.doorway.ru your time and good luck Last edited: May 4, dwschultzy, May 4, Personally, I like the APE manual CCT.
